Founded in 2020, Ohenca was born from a passion for preserving and promoting Ghanaian textile traditions while creating modern, wearable pieces. We work directly with local artisans to create authentic designs that honor traditional techniques while appealing to contemporary tastes.

The Beginning
OHENCA was founded with the vision to celebrate Ghanaian heritage through modern fashion for the everyday woman who loves comfort without compromising culture.
First Collection
This collection was inspired by Ohenewaah's favorite childhood dress, designed with safety pins. It was reimagined into many beloved pieces, and the safety pin remains a signature detail.

Meet the Founder
"OHENCA was born from a personal passion — and a little bit of frustration! As a big chested girl and a total perfectionist, finding dresses that felt just right was always a mission. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create my own."
From a young age, I've always been drawn to creating something beautiful and unique. Thread and needle were my best friends from primary school through senior high because I was always eager to rip up my clothes and stitch them back together. It brought me so much joy. My love for fashion design blossomed early on, and despite the initial skepticism of friends and family, I was driven by passion and continued to hone my skills and perfect my craft.
While OHENCA was first inspired by the need for bust-friendly styles, I'm thrilled to say our pieces now celebrate all body types. I strive to create designs that are not only stylish and eye-catching, but also timeless, versatile, and truly comfortable, because every detail matters.
The journey hasn't always been smooth, but with a little faith and your incredible support, we're back and better than ever. To my cherished returning followers, welcome back.
